Coming in at only $60 with 876 pieces, The LEGO Ninjago Movie Lightning Jet (70614) is worth the price. The jet itself was a fun build and and there's a lot of playability with it along with a cool design. The minifigure selection is great as well whether or not it included the previously seen characters like Jelly and the Shark Army Thug.

Got this for my son who is crazy about Jay. It looks kind of flimsy but it absolutely is not, the core of the build is rock solid and while you might catch a lightning rod while flying the whole sub assembly will come off meaning no small parts flying around. The action features are cool and the dart shooter can knock over shark army vehicles pretty easily!

This was a requested Christmas present from my 10 year old grandson. He is a Lego maniac and when he receives a Lego set he goes to his room and usually emerges in about an hour or less with a master piece..... then he does continue to play with them and even sleeps with some, not a stuffed animal kind of guy, but this set actually challenged him and taking 2 days to complete! So if you are up for a challenge this is it.

Any fan fascinated by how far LEGO set design has come should buy 70614 Lightning Jet, as the stability achieved with such a specific design is an impressive feat indeed. The LEGO NINJAGO Movie theme is full of excellent LEGO sets, and this one is a stand out among them.

Unfortunately, I think this set ends up being rather forgettable. The build is okay but looks rather messy from behind and a bit ugly from some other angles too. The figures are pretty good (the inclusion of six is pretty nice). Playability is reasonable, though the price could be a little lower.
