Well this set has features and all that but it has some big flaws. Nya probably should not be included because there isn't a spot you can sit her. There is a gear at the top which is exposed and very annoying. When lifting the shooters up, the baseplate is visible and feels incomplete. When lifting the shooters up you can see some blue and it just feels wrong. The figures are good but Ultra Violet has a slight design flaw where the hair on the Oni Mask touch the armour, and it makes it hard for the hair to stay. Ultra Violet's bike is decent, but is pretty simple. The nightcrawler is pretty good except for the flaws. Overall pretty good set.
My niece loves ninjago cartoons. Upon opening the gift she was thrilled! I recommend to any ninjago fan
On the whole, this is a fairly good set. I like the build, despite its odd size and slightly unnatural proportions. The minifigures themselves are nice, though the selection should definitely have been bigger considering the price point. Playability is alright, but the car's size and the fact that it is so heavily reliant on stud shooters is a bit of a letdown. The price to part is pretty good but I feel that the car's size is still a little small for the price, and a secondary build, possibly for Nya, could help me stomach the cost a bit better.
I had high expectations and mostly they've been met. It's a beautiful design, has a clever function, and a satisfying build. The multi-shooters – great as they are – can turn from being a cool feature to a mild irritant depending on where your studs end up though. Combined with other sets from the wave there is certainly a lot more potential for play here.
