Another impulse buy along with the golden dragon master. Like the other fyler, this set is fun and the Cole minifigure is amazing.
Build the brick handle, place the Master in the capsule, attach the blade and dragon wings and pull the ripcord. Putting your flyer together is quick and easy, it only took us less than 10 minutes to build and then you're ready to play. This unique kit is really cool to build and see a little Lego person take flight. That being said, these flyers don't necessarily fly as you would hope. There is definitely a learning curve with these flyers and they fly best only in the right environments, but they are sturdy enough for all the crash-landings.
This is very similar to the other Lego spinjitsu toys which require you to assemble the handle and the spinning plastic holder which contains the Ninja. However, this version implies that the spinning top (with attached wings) will actually fly. It barely does. Even with a full strong pull from an adult, it might traverse a horizontal distance of 10 feet. It does not produce any lift. Don't buy it if your kid will expect more than the basic spinjitsu effect.
