Bought this set for my youngest son (6). He loves LEGO and his older brothers have lots of LEGO. He loves ninjago and he requested this set for his birthday. We built it together over a few hours over a few days and he didn't really have any problems with the instructions or anything. Great product!
I have no interest in Ninjago but I purchased this because it's a unique oddity in Lego's product line. It's literally a giant snake with some of those dudes from Stargate chained to it. That's awesome. The build is fun and largely engaging though there's a lot of needless 'do this for the other side' pages that adults will easily figure out and do ahead of time, possibly leading to confusion. Otherwise it's a great build with some unique and fun minifigs that will sit great with my 3200 stormtroopers.
Unfortunately, this set costs £39.99 or $39.99 which seems quite expensive. It contains 463 pieces so offers reasonable value from that perspective but the model is smaller than I was anticipating and four minifigures does not necessarily justify that price either. However, those figures are appealing and the serpent offers considerable play value, despite its upper body being relatively static.
