Metal Beard's Sea Cow is truly a masterpiece in both design and imagination. This creation is meant to be put on display if you have the space for it. The size and detail is astounding and I was quite impressed by some of the building techniques used on this. Yes, the price of $250 is a lot of money for one set but I feel it's well worth every penny of that. I expect the Sea Cow to hold the title of crown jewel in my LEGO collection for years to come.

I love the details included through the set, and how they managed to do a great job using technic sails! The only downside is that the playability factor aboard the ship is lower because of the lack of space on the deck.

As darkness set and I put the finishing touches on MetalBeard's Sea Cow, I only wanted to build more. This huge model is the kind of thing that acts as a muse for future projects. I'll be buying a shelf soon so that I can give the big ship a place in my room that isn't reachable by my devil kittens. From there, it will be able to urge me on to more interesting builds of my own.

MetalBeard's Sea Cow is one of my favourite LEGO sets. I really like the way the designers have managed to fuse the Steampunk look into a modern pirate ship.

I love it. It's big, full of nifty little details and the whole thing looks impressive while its proportions makes it a little cartoonish. Not an easy combination but they pulled it off anyway.
