With the recent roster of Roman soldiers and gladiators, I feel like there are Spartacus fans in the LEGO staff that are trying to sneak in figures. This is unfortunately as close to Spartacus as LEGO will get, but they are still very good pieces. This one, in particular, looks like Crixus, The Undefeated Gaul! Would have preferred if he came with a gladius and shield, as opposed to the dual gladii he has, but no complaints otherwise! Now the need a Spartacus, Gannicus, and Agron figure, and we are good to go! SHALL WE BEGIN?!
The best thing about this new Series is to be able to see the new Yeti, Gingerbread Man and Welder which are totally a new designing concept that have never been seen before.
Overall, I absolutely love the design of all the minifigures in Series 11 with my favorites being the Scarecrow, Saxophone Player, the Gingerbread Man, and the Yeti.
As you probably know, you can move Lego things around any which way you want, so my son made about 10 different configurations of this Elf, holiday gift, and teddy bear. Then he added it to his Christmas scene build that already included people decorating a Christmas tree on one side of a wall (the wall of a house), and a snowball fight scene on the other side.Usually in these packages you can't tell which figure you're getting, but of course purchasing an individual one like this, the seller already made sure it was the Elf. Lego fans will love it.
His torso and legs are fairly generic as these ‘gladiator-type' minifigs go. He has a band that stretches over one of his shoulders and a fairly large “WWE champion"-ish belt that's painted bronze along with a furry loincloth and fur boots. He has some back printing which is a nice touch, but perhaps the best detail the Barbarian has is his cuff printing on both hands. He has an armoured bronze wristpiece on his left hand and a leather strappy thing on his right. He dual wields 2 regular gladius swords which aren't too flashy or exciting. Please Lego, if you're giving us Series 12, retire the warrior/gladiator slot or give us something a little more exciting like a Fighter with a Tiger/Bull mask.
