Overall, The LEGO Movie Collectible Minifigures (71004) is a great addition to the minifigures line. There are a variety of different characters that are all over the place that you can collect from the Panda Guy to the Taco Tuesday Guy to Abraham Lincoln. This set of minifigs also has the most number of female minifigures in a single series with six. Although all the characters are tied into the movie, in theory you could possibly build an army with some of the minifigures such as a construction crew with Emmet and Gail, a panda army to take over the world, or a team of motorcycle cops. There are also a lot of parts and accessories that you can reuse in other themes like the different hairpieces, coonskin cap, and coffee cup. I highly recommend picking them up in preparation for the movie release. Happy hunting!
The LEGO Movie Series has done a remarkable job to introduce more new minifigures designs into this new minifigure theme, even though it is not directly classified under the LEGO Collectable Minifigures category.
Ordered what was pictured, but got something totally different. What I received was a blind pack with one of the robots from the movie. I will keep simply because it's more trouble than it's worth to send back, hopefully the kiddo won't mind.
Having two Western style female minifigs in a series is a little much, and apart from the colour there's not much to tell them apart with. Wyldstyle does have a black fan which is an okay accessory but nothing too groundbreaking. She does show up in a variety of different looks in the set, but in this series, she's a little too plain and pedestrian for my tastes.
