Video Game Guy

Bought this little guy to go with "LEGO Furniture: Computer Desk (Gray) -Custom Set with Chair, Monitor, Speakers, Keyboard & Mouse" to give to my grandson as a stocking stuffer. He's 18 and a bit of a computer geek, but also a Lego fan since kindergarten (and before that, Duplo blocks!) so this was a fun item for him to receive. He keeps it on his computer desk, of course, and featured it on his Facebook page, so I know it's a hit! more less

Overall, the Series 12 LEGO Collectible Minifigures looks like to be another hit. It adds some more variety to existing minifigures and most if not all of them can appeal with everyone. Many of the minifigures are very suitable for army builders like the Hun Warrior and the Battle Goddess. more less

I quite like the Video Game Guy, since I quite like video games myself – something which most LEGO collectors can also identify with. Let's face it, collecting LEGO is still considered a pretty geeky (but in a good way) hobby! more less

The Video Game Guy seems pretty generic, but will probably be great for all the gamers looking to create self-figs. His torso doesn't appear that exciting at first, since it merely has "Player 1" printed on it. However, the arms are now in the new two-toned style to represent sleeves, so they're part black and park gray. The hair piece is a recolor of the style the DJ used in Series 8, this time with brown hair and black headphones. He also comes with a 1x2 tile that represents a gamepad. It's generic enough to avoid looking like any particular brand, but the design is still recognizable for any gamer out there. His legs also have printing on them, including a USB keychain, which is a nice touch. more less
