I would say that Series 2 is a slight improvement from Series 1 (71005) with a majority of new characters being introduced. The only downside I have is including the core Simpsons family again albeit with new outfits. Plus we wouldn't have a Simpsons theme without the family to anchor the sets.
Prepare yourself to get at least a set or just a box. I am sure this will be a fitting series within your display collection especially when you are a Simpsons fan.
Overall, I couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by Bartman. A cape and painted mask doesn't automatically transform him into an interesting minifigure. Bartman is more charming than he is impressive and feels a bit like a ‘wasted' slot in this series.
I was really happy with the contents of this blind bag purchase and on a whole, I think this blind bag series is very well made and well worth picking up, especially for Simpsons fans.
I am certainly of the opinion that this series is an improvement over the last one, where one or two minifigures simply didn't capture their on screen counterpart's appearance very well. This time every figure looks great to me, although I am struggling to pick an absolute favourite. Waylon Smithers, Edna Krabappel and Professor Frink are definite contenders.
