This Minifigure is great. He has a pretty unique face complete with Band-Aids, and comes with a bandage cap. The crutches are also an awesome accessory. In typical LEGO humour, Clumsy Guy's t-shirt is printed with an evil banana, hinting at Clumsy Guy's misfortune. The back of the torso is not printed, but the cast on his leg does continue all the way around. There is also the nice detail of signatures on the cast. Overall, this is a well through-out and hilarious character.
The Clumsy Guy is actually perfect for my City since I only recently completed my first custom building - a LEGO hospital! The Clumsy Guy was one of the figures that my wife bought me - and since then I've worked out a trade with a blog reader to acquire a second copy of Clumsy Guy (gotta have some patients for my hospital)!
Very cute! I've had a few years of mishaps involving fractured feet and most recently this Christmas - crutches. I put this together, glued it and added a clear string to hang in the Christmas tree. :)
I've said this before, but LEGO has continued to step up their game with the Collectible Minifigures theme and Series 15 (71011) does not disappoint. There are some minifigures that are more sought after than others but I see every single one of them having a place somewhere in the LEGO universe and in many MOCed themes.
The parts assortment is above average. The accessories are good especially the accurate design of the new clutches. Those are real awesome support for patients to move about in their injured state. The leg cast print is very funny as well with those 'get well' and funny messages at the front of the leg cast and side of the leg cast.
So my overall thoughts are its a damn good series I think we only got 4 weak minifigures, the rest were high quality. My top 4 were the farmer, Animal Control Officer, shark suit guy and the wrestler. Each time you wonder what LEGO can come up with next and yet they continue to really impress me. I love new elements that can be used in my own creations and series 15 is packed with them.
I am extremely pleased with Clumsy Guy. It ticks off all the right boxes to be a LEGO Minifigures classic with a very relatable role, with really cool exclusive accessories and an all around memorable design.
It is worth mentioning that there are five female figures here to the eleven males, which is a fairly standard ratio now even though there are plenty of opportunities to make it an even split. The handicap guy is something fans have responded to well, pairing well with the upcoming wheelchair figure. The Shark Guy is pretty fun. We get a couple of animals. Everyone has their favorites, though most of the popular figs come with large odds in favor of fans. Basically, there is a little of something here for everyone, which is the best thing to be said about any Collectible Minifigure Series.
My personal favorite from this series. The new crutched are a little odd and large compared to the figure, but you couldn't put them under a fig's arms if you wanted to so I can see why they went with this design. And they're gray, which makes them really versatile (greebles anyone?) The sheepish grin, head bandage, cast on his foot (double shot molded!) and ironic banana shirt just makes this figure adorable.
This series is shaping up quite nicely, with a broad range of excellent minifigs.
