Flying Warrior

The Flying Warrior's outstanding design and all that gold make him one of my favourites from Series 15 and you bet that I'll be building a small army to go along with my Battle Goddesses. One of the best “combat/warlike/mythical" LEGO minifigures that LEGO have ever created. more less

This Minifig is loaded with accessories. He comes with armour, a winged helmet, a spear, and wings. In addition, he is impressively detailed on the front of the torso and legs. The paint job does not continue onto his back, but the back of the torso is, at least, covered by the armour. The back paint issue does bother me a little, but he is pretty unique, well detailed, and decked out with cool accessories. more less

It must be said that this figure actually contains quite a few different pieces (seven not counting the head, torso, or legs)! I think for fans of mythological LEGO themes, this is a great figure. I plan to visit Greece again next summer so perhaps this figure will provide me with some building inspiration as I prepare for my trip! more less

He's a really cool figure! I love the gold color, the wings that can flap/move, and the detail of the armor. He almost reminds be of a superhero, Greek God/Demi-God, or Angel/Archangel. I actually bought 4 of these and I took off the wings, shoulder pads, helmet, and spear. Bought some gold lightsabers and I'm using them as temple guards for my Jedi Temple since Lego has created 100s of Star Wars figures but never a temple guard which is interesting but one day, maybe. :) more less

I've said this before, but LEGO has continued to step up their game with the Collectible Minifigures theme and Series 15 (71011) does not disappoint. There are some minifigures that are more sought after than others but I see every single one of them having a place somewhere in the LEGO universe and in many MOCed themes. more less

This is a real awesome outstanding minifigure. The Winged Battle Warrior is quite a hot favourite among many due to the glittering gold armoured outfit with his soaring majestic wings. This design is suited like a group of well trained winged warrior sent by God or guarding some mythical places. I am extremely fond of the overall armoured pearl gold design which is given a human male warrior appearance. It is an excellent minifigure design which I suspect will be popular among army builders including myself where this will pair well with the search of Grim Knight. In a heartbeat, I probably would amass lots of it to build up an army. more less

So my overall thoughts are its a damn good series I think we only got 4 weak minifigures, the rest were high quality. My top 4 were the farmer, Animal Control Officer, shark suit guy and the wrestler. Each time you wonder what LEGO can come up with next and yet they continue to really impress me. I love new elements that can be used in my own creations and series 15 is packed with them. more less

It is worth mentioning that there are five female figures here to the eleven males, which is a fairly standard ratio now even though there are plenty of opportunities to make it an even split. The handicap guy is something fans have responded to well, pairing well with the upcoming wheelchair figure. The Shark Guy is pretty fun. We get a couple of animals. Everyone has their favorites, though most of the popular figs come with large odds in favor of fans. Basically, there is a little of something here for everyone, which is the best thing to be said about any Collectible Minifigure Series. more less
