The Minifig himself has really nice detailing on the front. He has a button up shirt with pockets. His pants also have pockets, and one of them has a rag hanging out of it. There is no detailing on the back side. I really like the paint job on his face that makes him look a little haggard.
I've said this before, but LEGO has continued to step up their game with the Collectible Minifigures theme and Series 15 (71011) does not disappoint. There are some minifigures that are more sought after than others but I see every single one of them having a place somewhere in the LEGO universe and in many MOCed themes.
The parts assortment for the Janitor is average. I like the new mop design very much. It is made up of two parts and can be easily put together. This may not be as popular as the rest of the minifigures but I am sure you will definitely need a few Janitors around to keep the place clean.
So my overall thoughts are its a damn good series I think we only got 4 weak minifigures, the rest were high quality. My top 4 were the farmer, Animal Control Officer, shark suit guy and the wrestler. Each time you wonder what LEGO can come up with next and yet they continue to really impress me. I love new elements that can be used in my own creations and series 15 is packed with them.
The Janitor is another one of the six minifigures that I'm still missing - which is too bad since he fits in wonderfully in my City layout. It must be said that his mop isn't the most exciting accessory ever - but it's also the first LEGO mop that I've ever seen so maybe it's more exciting than I give it credit for.
I definitely will pick up more than one of him – probably when the sales are on and I can get him cheaper than the RRP. The Janitor isn't flashy but makes for a welcome addition to my minifigure collection. I would really love to see more “ordinary" job characters like him around. LEGO City needs more inhabitants that aren't cops/firemen/robbers/construction workers.
It is worth mentioning that there are five female figures here to the eleven males, which is a fairly standard ratio now even though there are plenty of opportunities to make it an even split. The handicap guy is something fans have responded to well, pairing well with the upcoming wheelchair figure. The Shark Guy is pretty fun. We get a couple of animals. Everyone has their favorites, though most of the popular figs come with large odds in favor of fans. Basically, there is a little of something here for everyone, which is the best thing to be said about any Collectible Minifigure Series.
Another personal favorite. He's actually one of the simplest figures with only a single sided printed torso, but the printed arms make up for it. The mop head is versatile since the hole goes all the way through, allowing it to hang either up or down.
This series is shaping up quite nicely, with a broad range of excellent minifigs.
