The Glam Metal Batman figurine is a cool guy & my son enjoys him! The only reason I'm giving it a 4-star rating for "value for the money" is because it's a bit pricey for what it is, but all Legos are pricey. It's bit expensive for a teeny, tiny figurine, but my son really loved the Lego Batman movie & needed some mini Lego people to play with his mini Legos sets. I also got him the Robin one which is really cute. Just be aware that it's NOT a larger size Lego person, but the MINI Lego size...the mini Legos are crazy small...not good for children under 3...a choking hazard. My son is almost 5 though & he enjoys building with the mini Lego sets & switching the costumes/bodies/heads of his mini Lego figurines. It arrived on time & in perfect condition! Thank you!
Overall, The LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures (71017) is a very interesting series, to say the least. There are a number of very obscure characters from the Batman universe but director Chris McKay did mention before that the movie will go deep into Batman lore which includes characters from Batman's Rogues Gallery and that's exactly what we're getting in this series.
Glam Metal Batman is an excellent Batman costume. It hits all the right notes in that it's something you can totally picture Batman (from The LEGO Movie universe) doing in his free time, it's got a fantastic design, is inspired by pop culture and has the perfect mix of new and recoloured accessories. It also screams a lot of fun!
All in all, I think this is a pretty good CMF. However, there are other Batsuits which, in my opinion, are better, like the Fairy Batman and the Lobster Lovin' Batman.
The parts assortment are above average. There is a new variant of electric guitar in metallic appearance and the new spiky shoulder blades which can be very useful for medieval customisation. The whole outfit stay close to the original design of Batman and this is one of the nicest Batman variants among them.
Like other LEGO Collectible Minifigures, each figure comes sealed in a blind bag, and there are 60 figures in case. Our case broke into 3 complete sets of 20 figures, which will make sharing a case with friends much easier.
