I'm a big fan of this figure, because it's a far more affordable way to get a Commissioner Gordon minifigure. In addition, this minifigure isn't a strange variant of the figure (unlike the Arkham Joker or the Nurse Harley Quinn), but rather a normal-looking minifigure that would not look out of place in a LEGO Batman Movie display. He also has nice printing all over.
Commissioner Gordon is on the hunt again- he won't let villains lurk in Gotham city against. Especially with his side kick Batman at hand
Overall, The LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures (71017) is a very interesting series, to say the least. There are a number of very obscure characters from the Batman universe but director Chris McKay did mention before that the movie will go deep into Batman lore which includes characters from Batman's Rogues Gallery and that's exactly what we're getting in this series.
I'm mostly very happy with Commissioner Gordon – his minifigure design nails the quintessential “detective' look and as a bonus, it's relatively easy to repurpose his torso and legs for other minifigures. I also liked that he's not “flesh coloured" – more diversity thanks to Gordon's tanned skin is always a good thing.
Like other LEGO Collectible Minifigures, each figure comes sealed in a blind bag, and there are 60 figures in case. Our case broke into 3 complete sets of 20 figures, which will make sharing a case with friends much easier.
