Overall, while I like Jay's hair, scarf, and selfie stick, the torso and legs look pretty plain, especially for a CMF.
Ordered this for my grandson who used his own money to purchase this item. He was in tears when he saw he did not get the mini figure that was pictured, and there is a "no return" policy for this. It is a lesson learned the hard way and we won't be purchasing from this seller again. It difficult to enough to teach ethics and standards to a child without retailers/sellers taking advantage of children with false advertising. He was very proud of the straight A report card and his reward for working hard besides the grades was the mini figures he purchased. I guess lesson learned "buyer beware". I would give no stars if possible
The parts assortment are slightly above average. I like his warm fuzzy outfit with his iconic blue look. The selfie stick is quite simple and easy to replicate with your LEGO spare parts. The mobile phone with Jay face on the selfie is brilliant. You could probably infer that this is quite a modern looking smartphone right in our pocket. The orange long scarf is really nicely captured and I hope to see them in more common places.
Much like the world of Ninjago itself, these characters, who range from a sushi chef to a teen pop fan, abide in a stereotyping mashup of all things Asian.
This is another great series of LEGO Minifigures and although it's a licensed series, it's more like the stand series especially when you compare it to The LEGO Batman Movie series from earlier in the year. The new parts are great and there are a few useful pieces MOC builders will enjoy.
Jay Walker is one of my favourite minifigures in this series. He features a delightfully unkempt hair piece as well as a brand new scarf element which is made from a hard plastic. It looks great in orange and is currently only available elsewhere in 70620 NINJAGO City so seems certain to make this a popular figure!
