Yeah, Anything combines LEGO and Harry Potter is a MUST get thing for me, let alone this minifigure series! Though it took me some time to feel which one was in each bag in the store, overall it's easy to distinguish them from each other and get the ones I really wanted. (Given the ratio, you probably also need some extra time and luck to get the chase figure Percival Graves) The new designs and accessories are so exquisite, which definitely vividly described and somehow even enriched those characters from Harry Potter. I was so happy to have this CMF series as well as many new Harry Potter sets, looking forward to seeing more soon!
We had a lot of fun with these Lego minifigures. We just love the details, like the Golden Snitch, Voldemort's snake Nagini and even Newt's Niffler and case.
Ready yourself for this new amazing Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts minifigures to see such an exciting licensed minifigure theme. Definitely worth the wait.
In my defense, I haven't purchased Legos in years...I was a little aggravated when I received this item because how can something so tiny cost so much! However, I though well maybe that is what Legos are going for these days and it IS Harry Potter. This was until I was in line at a store and saw them for $3.99!!! I am feeling a tad ripped off.
It's a good figure of an iconic character and I like the midi-legs, but I feel the hairpiece doesn't suit the character. Still, he's Harry Potter, and that makes him a desirable minifigure.
Harry isn't the most remarkable minifigure, but as the face of the series, you'd be hard pressed to be disappointed in getting him. For casual fans, it's a fairly cost-effective way to get a Harry Potter minifigure which is always great.
As I look over all of these fantastic figures, I find myself asking the question “Why is Voldemort, the only character depicted without a nose in the movies, the only figure with nostrils printed on his head?" With only one figure per box, and two characters incorporated in that figure, Percival Graves/ Gellert Grindelwald will be the greatest challenge for serious collectors. You can find two series of the Harry Potter specific figures in every box, but the Fantastic Beasts figures are harder too complete.
Harry Potter appears in almost every Wizarding World set, as one might expect of the series' protagonist. This variant is unique, sporting a Hogwarts robe as well as smoother hair and longer legs than its counterpart from first year. Medium-sized legs are a new feature of this Collectable Minifigures series, offering the same articulation as standard legs but reflecting the character's relative youth.
Other than the distribution ratio of the minifigures, I'm very satisfied with the variety of characters that we get in this set. Most of them don't appear in the standard system sets so just them being in random packs makes them more sought after. This is the second Collectible Minifigures set that LEGO has released to include a “chase" minifigure and it doesn't look to be stopping anytime soon so we'll just have to get used to seeing more of them in future sets.
LEGO has done an excellent job with this series, filling in many gaps and bringing new life to many woefully outdated characters. The multitude of new elements is in keeping with the traditional CMF series, and the detail on the characters is excellent. We didn't notice any of the plastic quality issues that have sometimes plagued CMFs, which is a refreshing turn.
