We had a lot of fun with these Lego minifigures. We just love the details, like the Golden Snitch, Voldemort's snake Nagini and even Newt's Niffler and case.
Ready yourself for this new amazing Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts minifigures to see such an exciting licensed minifigure theme. Definitely worth the wait.
I ordered hermione granger for my daughter's birthday! She needed hermione for her collection. Paid extra for the guaranteed it was hermione but no!! I got Luna lovegood. The same Luna lovegood we already have. Not please!
I really like Hermione's overall look – she has a confident, optimistic and brave smile on her face, which matches her character really well! She's probably the most important character in the entire book, given her track record of bailing Harry and Ron out of many sticky situations, saving their lives constantly. Without Hermione, Harry'd be dead by Book 2.
As I look over all of these fantastic figures, I find myself asking the question “Why is Voldemort, the only character depicted without a nose in the movies, the only figure with nostrils printed on his head?" With only one figure per box, and two characters incorporated in that figure, Percival Graves/ Gellert Grindelwald will be the greatest challenge for serious collectors. You can find two series of the Harry Potter specific figures in every box, but the Fantastic Beasts figures are harder too complete.
Hermione's robes are fastened at the front so show more of their dark red lining than Harry's, running across the torso and onto the legs. This provides a welcome splash of colour and I like how the robes are worn in different ways by each pupil, thereby avoiding excessive repetition. A new dark tan wand completes the figure.
Other than the distribution ratio of the minifigures, I'm very satisfied with the variety of characters that we get in this set. Most of them don't appear in the standard system sets so just them being in random packs makes them more sought after. This is the second Collectible Minifigures set that LEGO has released to include a “chase" minifigure and it doesn't look to be stopping anytime soon so we'll just have to get used to seeing more of them in future sets.
LEGO has done an excellent job with this series, filling in many gaps and bringing new life to many woefully outdated characters. The multitude of new elements is in keeping with the traditional CMF series, and the detail on the characters is excellent. We didn't notice any of the plastic quality issues that have sometimes plagued CMFs, which is a refreshing turn.
