This entire series is an outstanding release with minor rant such as the repeated inclusion of Unikitty design. Overall, I would said this is quite a remarkable release including fulfilling the distribution ratio with 3 complete sets in a sealed box. This alone, is a huge winner to ensure the distribution spread is done appropriately. Furthermore, I also noted with the minifigure neck marking increased the tightness and grip of the head and neck. This is actually great for CMFs which was previously lacking.
This was going to be a gift. Now I'll just keep it in my collection ( although I have one already). It did not come sealed in the bag. Deceptive.
Overall The LEGO Movie 2 Collectible Minifigures (71023) series is a pretty interesting one with a number of characters that you wouldn't really expect to see in one of the sets. My favorite one is probably the Giraffe guy as well as the Wizard of Oz crew which are some popular ones among fans. There are also some questionable inclusions such as Emmet and Unikitty. Do we really need another of their variants even though they have been heavily featured in the sets and Unikitty in her series from last year?
After the Wicked Witch of the West and her Flying Monkeys showed up in The LEGO Batman Movie, the rest of the Wizard of Oz gang is finally here. First up is Dorothy, and she's definitely not in Kansas anymore, though of course she looks as if she could be with her simple plaid dress and braided hair. For the torso, Dorothy's dress is printed over a white torso, while the bottom is a cloth element that covers dual-molded legs with white tops and light blue bottoms. Her iconic ruby red slippers are printed around the edges of the legs.
I found a few surprises looking through the set, especially with the UV: Bright Green seems to be particularly Bright. I wonder how other elements in this colour look?. Orange is inconsistent: some versions of Bright Orange Fluoresce, others do not. Likewise red: I have some fuselage elements joined together at home: some fluoresce, others don't! Some ‘Bright' colours don't seem to glow at all. Overall, it's a pretty diverse collection!
This minifigure looks wonderful when compared with the film and wears a blue and white dress with a gingham pattern, the lower section of which is formed using a fabric component. In addition, dual-moulded arms depict short sleeves which are an accurate detail.
