Video Game Champ

These were just opened for my son's birthday today, and out of the 5 bags he got 2 pairs of duplicates. Very disappointing, not sure how "random" their pick really is. Can't in good conscience recommended this product. more less

Series 19 is a great addition to the Lego universe! It has a large variety of minifigures from multiple themes, like fantasy, science fiction, and city. I love that so many of the accessories and minifigure parts are of new design and are exclusive to this series. I especially like the dachshund that comes with the Dog Sitter. It's so cute! more less

The LEGO CMFs Series 19 is a nice traditional CMFs design and it is nice to see a change of pace. Seeing this brand new 16 designs of Series 19, there are 11 City related minifigures including costume fellows, 4 historical/fantasy/mythical minifigures and 1 sci-fiction minifigure. As you can see, this new Series 19 is a city-focused theme. While I am slightly disappointed that minifigures had largely restricted on City landscape, but the new additional designs and new molds are welcoming additions to our ever-growing LEGO collection. more less

There's a very large cross-section of LEGO fans and Gamers, and this contemporary take on a video game streamer is quite timely, and I'm willing to bet that a lot of gamers will be very happy to have their very own unofficial Jacksepticeye minifigure. Personally, I really like his bright green hairpiece with the gaming headset attached, as well as his shirt which has the logos of some of my favourite vintage themes. more less

It's good to get another regular, non-themed series of Collectible Minifigures again, spreading across all walks of life. Not every figure in Series 19 is a sure-fire winner in my book (if I weren't reviewing it, I'd never go out of my way to pick up the Firefighter, Bear Costume Guy, or Rugby Player, for instance), but the majority of the characters are figures I want in my collection, some of them multiple times over. more less

I found the overall tone for the series less coherent than for previous series. I feel every figure is pretty good, and some are downright excellent. The theme or category for the figures is consistent with previous themes. But the accessories are inconsistent. more less

The colourful Video Game Champ definitely stands out within Series 19, featuring an extraordinary bright green hair piece with a black headset. This component has already appeared in two Star Wars: The Last Jedi sets but looks splendid here and I like the double-sided head as well. The quizzical and cheerful expressions are both satisfying. more less

Of the first 8 Minifigures from Series 19, the stand out for me is definitely the Monkey King. He looks amazing, has some great detailing especially his cheeky face. The Video Game Champ is a strong second, especially his amazing shirt. The Bounty Hunter is a little disappointing, due to the differing colours but it still looks quite cool. more less
