My granddaughter loves putting together Lego kits. She has several of them, (I think about 7) and she's put all together but the one that keeps her stumped. This one says for ages 8-14, but if you have a child that is creative and likes building things, and they are younger, they might like this. My granddaughter is 7 and she's been putting these together since she was 4. Not that they are easy, (because they are not. I've tried building with her and get frustrated), but because she loves challenges and being strategic. She will work and work until she figures something out. This set comes with 604 pieces which includes 4 figures (Axle, Jester, No. 407 and Megabyte), and powers. It has other moveable features like a draw bridge. There's even an app for this kit. Although the description says it comes with 7 powers, ours only came with 2. Also, we had never heard of Nexo Knights, and was surprised to find out it is a television series. Who Knew?
Fans of the series Nexo Knights will love the addition of this play set and creating adventure for these New Nexo Knights mini figure characters. With lots of features like firing missiles and removable vehicles, there are plenty of fun surprises to keep young fans of the Cartoon Network series busy.
My 8 year old son enjoyed making and playing with this set. He found the black ship easy to make. The wings on Axel's ship were confusing. I had to help with the grey tracks. Overall a cool and creative set.
If I was a kid, I'd be over-the-moon about this set. As an AFOL, I'll be perfectly content to absorb the parts into my collection, but I can't imagine going out of my way to buy another copy.
