7306: Golden Staff Guardians is a great set. You get three great minifigures, a new dark red motorcycle, a nice looking "Golden Staff' temple, and plenty of fantastic accessories.
LEGO has come a long way with its detailed minifigs. I love the new mummies! The weapons and shields are nice, as well as the standard accessories. I think a map and maybe a palm tree would have added to the overall quality/value of the set. The worst feature, in my opinion, is the little structure that holds the Golden Staff. It just doesn't do much for me, but does offer a few various "odds-and-ends" for maybe adding to a larger temple or ruin.
...look no further than Pharaoh's Quest sets! Jake, Mac, Professor Hale and Helena are great substitutes for the hard-to-find Lego Indiana Jones sets. The Golden Staff Guardians set is a great value. It comes with 3 Minifigures, a motorcycle and a Golden Staff temple. It is a pretty easy build. My 7yr old son is very happy with this set.
In the end, this is a nifty set. The $10 price tag is great for three cool figs, some slopes, and a new gold weapon, that we can forgive having there being a little under 100 pieces. This is a small set, after all, and the ratio really starts to work for the larger sets. I recommend it as an essential addition for the Pharaoh's Quest collector for more mummies and a cool golden staff.
