Recommendation: yes 4.5 / 5 by CapnRex101

This is certainly a set I would recommend as it is not only a huge step up from previous editions of this vehicle, but the Minifigure selection is excellent. Needless to say, Jango Fett is the star attraction and he alone is a pretty strong reason for purchasing this set, and if the Prequel Trilogy interests you at all, this is going to be a ‘must have' set for play or display.

I recently started a collection of LEGO Star Wars sets because my girls love their LEGO Friends sets and love playing with the Star Wars sets with me. I've always been a fan of Star Wars and this is just a great excuse to start my collection. The set is no longer available on the LEGO web site at the time of this review so I expect that it is being Retired soon. This is a nice small set with a cool droid tank. The build is fun and has a unique tread that circles the entire build. It comes with three MiniFigs and 271 total pieces with a $19.99 MSRP. While the tank is great, the real draw is the Jango Fett MiniFig. There hasn't been a Jango Fett MiniFig since 2002 so it will most likely become a collector's item once this set is Retired. Due to the impending retirement, I picked up two extras as investments primarily for the rare Jango Fett MiniFig. Overall, this is a great set for the collection.

The main draw of the set is the Jango Fett minifigure. It's been over a decade since the original minifig came out so latecomers to LEGO Star Wars now have an easier chance to get him. The set also makes a good army builder set if you're making a Clone army or a Droid army. The 2013 version of the Corporate Alliance Tank Droid has a little bit more detail than the 2009 version which is always better. There's not much play feature to it except for rolling it around and shooting the flick-fire missiles.

I like this version more than the older, while it's not as great as an army builder, it's a good set to get just for Jango and another clones.

Ultimately, for $20, this set almost feels like a steal compared to some of the others. The piece count, 271, is certainly inflated by all of the technic parts that make up the innards and the treads that make up the… treads. But there are enough other parts to make it nice on that part alone. The huge variety of dishes, the slopes and grill bricks (including the little rounded slopes), and plenty of trans-dark-orange.

The tank droid is a decent Star Wars set. It contains 60 tread pieces, which is the best way to get them other than Bricklink. Jango Fett is the only unique minifig in this set.
