The AT-AP has two poseable legs and a third retractable leg, there's also a large cannon on top with a rotating spring loaded missile, and the side panels and top open up to reveal the interior cockpit area.
This set was a huge success as a 7th birthday gift for my grandson. Reportedly he and his friends, brother and cousins prefer Star Wars to Chimera or Ninjago.
While this isn't an RGS-level makeover and surprise, it still wasn't a bad build. It's a technic-heavy build that had a lot of intricacies to it, and that makes it pretty fun to put together. It also just looks better than the old one, and fits with other sets nicely. In short, not a bad set overall.
It has some minor problems (back gaps in plates of the walker, maybe they could put another scout trooper or wookie warrior in this one, stickers and not printed pcs ) but all in all, they got the size, they got the shape, they got stability of model and they gave us perfect out of this world minifigs (Gree and Tarfful).
