Resistance Trooper Battle Pack

The mini-figures are great, the small vehicle is nice. Worth the normal battle pack price of $12.99, not the raised prices the third party sellers are listing while Amazon is out of stock. I just kept checking for when Amazon got more and ordered it then. more less

This set is so fantastically done for its size. The land speeder looks great and you can squeeze all 4 mini-figures onto it if necessary. The mini-figure helmets have a transparent yellow eye guard somehow built in, which is really cool. Also these sets have no stickers which is always a plus to me. This set is so well done that it makes me really wish they would do non-Star Wars space sets again, because they are really hitting these set designs out of the part. You get a lot of bang for your buck here: a nice looking vehicle and four minifigs! more less

I'm not sure I'll be filling up my resistance battlefields with these guys, but there are some decent parts to be had. Slopes, R4 heads, round grill bricks, and stud-shooter bricks all add a bit of value past the figures themselves. The extra measure I always bring to judging battle packs is if I would buy more than one of them, and I most certainly would buy more than one of these guys. more less

There are variations in the three troopers that make them unique. Two of the troopers have the same outfits, but one of them has a mustache. The third trooper has a different jacket. The speeder has room for two minifigures, and a large blaster with a stud shooter. more less

The minifigures are pretty solid if you're building up your Resistance army. The helmets for the minifigs are also nice with the movable chin guard. The speeder itself I felt could be better. It's very swooshable but that's as much as it has going for it. more less

In conclusion, how good is this set? Well, the figures all use stud shooters, the speeder is perhaps a little small, and the cannon is a bit unfinished, but the set does what it should do: it's a great army builder and the minifigures will definitely help you build up your Resistance army. more less

With some of the multiple character battle-type packs in the past, all of the Minifigures had the same head print. The fact that all four of the figures have different prints is a nice detail. I also like the new two-piece helmet design for the troopers. more less

This set is focused on the minifigures and in that regard I think it is excellent. It is a delight to see so many generic troopers included in such a small set which allows one to build an army quickly and inexpensively, unlike 75132 First Order Battle Pack. I think the idea of building an army of First Order soldiers is more appealing than one of the Resistance but it is certainly easier to do the latter. more less

My biggest complaint about this set is the minifigs' weapons. Rather than Star Wars blasters (which, granted, most of us probably have enough of to arm the entire Resistance), the set designers gave all four of the minifigs handheld stud-shooters as weapons instead. With a black tap piece stuck onto the end of the stud shooter, we get a stud-shooter rifle, I suppose, but to me it looks like a fish with a gaping mouth. Fish-guns and minimal screen time for the subjects aside, this is a pretty great little set, with useful minifigs for Star Wars, general sci-fi, and military builders alike. more less
