What this pack does well that the Empire one didn't is make buying more of them attractive. Sure, you're going to end up with a lot of Rodians and Duros that way, but there are plenty of uses for those heads outside these troops. There are a couple of combinations for the patterns on the troops as well, and these guys can fit into a couple of different applications. The somewhat generic nature of the troops also makes them easy to drop into either Rebel Alliance or Resistance armies as well (especially since the sourcebooks made it clear that the Resistance was reusing a lot of the Rebellions equipment).

Nice, but needs more Rebel helmets and no stud shooters.

4 good minifigures, though I don't like the jump packs. The scale is just off. I do like the addition of the 2 aliens though. The Rodian is a good touch; Greedo had a rough life (and death!) so it's good that his cousin can find work with the Rebellion. I don't know much about the other blue species, which comes without any sort of helmet or hairpiece. I prefer minifigs to have their top stud covered so I'll find a hat for him somehwere. The standout for me is the speeder; pretty sizable build for a battlepack, looks good and is fun to create. I compare this to something like the more recent First Order battlepack, which featured a miniscule turbolaser tower; this is just a lot more fun in the box.

One issue I have with this Battle Pack, however, is that it is clearly meant to be bought in mass quantities by AFOLs for army building. Thus it is unfortunate that half the figures here are aliens, as I believe the majority of rebel fighters were humans. It certainly would be odd for 25% of your army to be Duros or Rodian. Aliens provide welcome variation when one set is purchased, but are not as good for army building IMO.

Rebel Battle Packs are typically less appealing than their Imperial counterparts due to the inherently generic nature of Stormtroopers but this set bucks that trend in spectacular fashion. The four minifigures are absolutely brilliant, offering adequate army building potential while also looking great as individuals due to the impressive level of detail printed on each one.

I cringe to admit that I like this battle pack so much that it inspired a furious “figbarf" of epic proportions as I assembled a dozen more ragtag Rebels to match these. Naturally, I also had to expand my complement of Cantina aliens with the excellent Duros head. Once you set aside the stud-shooter guns and give them proper weapons (official LEGO Star Wars weapons or not), these are truly fantastic minifigs with some stellar parts.
