There are two possible issues with this design and build. First, the model wobbles a lot on its stand when moved. But, since it's is a display piece, it's unlikely you'll ever have to worry about that. The second is that the minifigures are too small for the snowspeeder's seats. But, since the figures are integrated into the stand, this is also a non-issue.

I was able to purchase mine through the Lego Store @ the same price, but used some accumulated points for a discount. An absolutely fantastic building experience and a beautiful replica of the Snow Speeder. Build duration for me was about 8 hours of on/off, somewhat distracted time over two days. Bags are all numbered (glares @ Sop Camel sitting unassembled), build book is well illustrated (and huge). I just love the clever use of various Lego components to fabricate the various features.

Very cool and detailed build. The stand is a bit flimsy feeling, but overall a good set and build.

The vehicle build makes a triumphant return in 2017 after the UCS Assault on Hoth from last year which may or may not a misstep according to LEGO but it certainly was with fans of the Ultimate Collector's Series line. The build itself is really good and the proportions are pretty much spot on.

Obviously, this version will be compared to the old UCS version and people will ask whether this version is better. I don't think it's really fair to compare both models, given the number of years in between. LEGO has evolved since the previous version, so yeah, this model looks better. Whether it's actually better...I don't know. And to be honest, I don't really care. What I do care about, is that this is a fantastic set!

Adhesive quibbles aside, 75144 is an extraordinary set. It is extremely detailed, has some great functionality, and looks amazing on display. It soundly sits alongside the best the UCS series has to offer. While the $200 is by no means cheap, you can see and feel every penny of it in the build.

The Snowspeeder, being the largest set I've build by myself, took at least four hours to build. It was worth it. To see this iconic Star Wars ship at such a large scale, with such detail, really takes your breath away. Despite a few small parts possibly falling off, it is great to pick up and fly around, ultimately settling back down on its display stand that all UCS sets come with to be shown off. There are not too many new parts, but something like this is unlikely to be taken apart, because the end goal is a display. And the Snowspeeder deserves it.

I certainly recommend 75144 Snowspeeder, whether or not you own 10129 Rebel Snowspeeder. The price of £169.99 or $199.99 seems comparatively reasonable and the improvements over the older model are numerous. Moreover, I think enough time has passed to warrant an update as the vast majority of current LEGO Star Wars fans will not own the original UCS model of the T-47 Airspeeder, myself included. I think this is the best Ultimate Collector's Series set since 75060 Slave I was released in January of 2015 and it is actually one of my favourite Star Wars sets to date!

Comparisons to 2003's 10129 Rebel Snowspeeder are inevitable. While the old model was remarkably accurate, especially compared to other Star Wars models of the time, the new Snowspeeder is undeniably even more accurate. The canopy is perhaps the biggest change; with the addition of the new canopy element, the shaping is spot on. While the nose on the old craft was made of stacked slopes, the finished effect worked well. It's hard to say the new nose design isn't better, but by how much is matter up for argument. If you already own the 2003 version, this new design isn't likely to tempt you as much.

The LEGO Star Wars Snowspeeder is a marvel of LEGO engineering. The first interesting thing about this set is how it shows a remarkable attention to detail. When a set is for display only, it's easy to forgo some details and finishes. However, unlike other sets, this one is fully finished. Even the underside is detailed.

This is one set that I would definitely want in my LEGO Star Wars Collection. Even if you're just a Star Wars fan, this is also a great model to have even if you're not a fan of LEGO. [...] I thoroughly enjoyed the build experience as it is obvious that the designers took the time to construct not only a lovely movie accurate model but the process of building it as well.
