Rebel U-wing Fighter

The Lego Star Wars Rebel U-Wing Fighter is an excellent Lego rendition of a ship that appeared in the Star Wars Rogue One movie (2016). Everything is accurate and condensed into the perfect sized package! This ship is large enough to transport weapons, troops, droids, etc, into battle with the Empire! I really like the fact that the wings of the "plane" can move/be positioned forwards or backwards. This set was a fun build that included 5 characters. Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, a rebel pilot, and 2 other rebels. I had a great time building this set and know that you (or the person your thinking of getting this for) will love it! Written by my 12 year old: The Rebel U-Wing is one of my favorites in the Star Wars category. The details are very precise; it looks just like it does in the movie! The minifigures included are all exclusive to this set, besides the U-Wing Pilot, who appears in the new Y-Wing. My favorite feature is the fact that four minifigures can fit in the hanger (Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, Bistan, and the Rebel Trooper), and the Pilot sit in the cockpit for easy storage! The button for the spring loaded shooters is also really cool, but the folding wings are my favorite function. Overall, this is a great set, and is a must-have for any Star Wars collector, or just any Lego fan looking for a new challenge! more less

The Star Wars U-Wing caused a huge commotion when it appeared in the first trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, so this LEGO version is likely going to be a huge hit with fans and collectors who can use it to recreate scenes from the movie. This set also has one of the best assortments of movie character minifigures that we have seen in the first wave of sets for Rogue One. I definitely like this set. The minifigure selection is not bad with Jyn and Cassian, though there are some issues (like lack of dual-molding for Cassian and no leg printing for Jyn). The build is also quite good — the troop transport is very bulky which doesn't look too good, but other than that I don't have problems with it. I think playability is quite okay as well — about right for a set of this size. The price is fabulous — no problems at all here! more less

This set is an above average LEGO Rogue One set. I had actually played with it and swoosh it around and simulate troop transport in hot landing zones and on top of that, I actually got more than one of these sets. Real awesome to have a good decent rebel troops transport and the movie positive experience simply add and increase the excitement and love for the U-wing. There is some flaw which I dislike, largely attributed to the small transport area. more less

If you really despise the U-wing's design, the LEGO version will do little to win you over – but that's only a testament to how faithful it is to the on-screen ship. It's not perfect, with the troop bay proving particularly taxing to access, but if you're itching for a rebel fix in an Imperial-heavy wave, the U-wing is the scratch you need. more less

This is an excellent set, reflecting both stellar concept design and LEGO set design, fun play features, and wise minifig choices. I'd be hard pressed to recommend it as a parts pack or to someone unfamiliar with the new movie, but it's a must-have for any Star Wars fan. more less

The UT-60D appears to occupy a major role in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story so I am delighted to be able to confirm that this is an excellent set and I absolutely recommend purchasing it. The minifigure selection is thoroughly impressive and the U-wing is equally satisfying, with some superb play features and an exceptionally accurate design. more less
