This set is a huge improvement from the 2015 first order battle pack. Most of the minifigs are a lot better and look unique. Even the officer looks awesome. This is a cheap way to get a flametrooper and the shield and weapon. The build is not too great. You can use it to hang weapons but thats all. It doesn't look nice either but people usually do not get battle packs for the build, they get it for the minifigures. Some minifigs still have studshooters but i don't think lego will get rid of them any time soon. Overall this set is great for building an army and is a lot of fun!
Exactly what my son wanted, I love saving money on Legos buying through amazon and saving the trip down the toy aisle at the local super store. I highly recommend purchasing this toy if you are like me and if you go into a local super store you nearly always spend more than you planned by buying extra things that were not on your shopping list.
In all, whilst it may be disappointing that we truly only have one new minifigure design in this battle pack, that shield design and the option to build up an army of Flametroopers means that once more, you can't overlook this latest £11.99 LEGO Star Wars release.

All in all, this set is a pretty good set. This is definitely what the first First Order Battle Pack should've been, as it definitely puts that one to shame. However, there is one large downfall of the set: the price is rather high, especially in the U.S., and the speeder is very small and stubby. The quality of the figures can help justify the price to an extent but the set still does not come across as being worth it.
The build for this set seems to be lacking. It uses very simple parts, and takes no time at all to build. It seems even more simple than usual, come to think of it. I much prefer the battle packs that give you two small builds, which provide more options for play (or display). The only parts that stand out to me are of the course the new shield accessories, and the translucent windscreen pieces. Everything else included in terms of parts doesn't compare to other packs. The minifigs are always the highlight, and that remains true, but even the figures are a little bit on the simple side, minus the officer and shield accessories. I might have preferred if we got a flametrooper, stormtrooper, snowtrooper, and maybe a stormtrooper officer in this pack, which would provide easier ways to broaden your armies.
75166 First Order Transport Speeder Battle Pack is a vast improvement over the original 75132 First Order Battle Pack and I think it is a worthy purchase at a price of £11.99 or $14.99. The minifigure selection is very impressive and it is nice to see an exclusive First Order officer included, although I think figures like this one should be excluded from Battle Packs in general as they have limited appeal for army building.
