Seemed great, but package was crushed. (Probably the mail) Thankfully Legos are tough!
Pros: Chirrut's weapon is beautifully designed and looks a lot better than the generic CCBS blasters made for Star Wars. The waist cape for Chirrut looks very good all around and flows well. It doesn't take away anything from the rest of the model. Cons: Like all humanoid buildable figures Chirrut looks fake and not very accurate to the actual character.
I definitely recommend this set over the other two new Buildable Figures and it also surpasses those in the last wave based on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in my opinion. The level of detail is much greater and I think the size of the figure represents good value for money, especially given the inclusion of so many new pieces and printed designs.
I do really like Chirrut. And not just 'cuz of Rogue One (though that does factor in to it), but because of how well put together he is. He doesn't seem gangly or poorly proportioned, everything works. The lack of a staff, however, is a glaring omission. These buildable figures live and die based on how much they evoke the source material, and Chirrut's staff is pretty darn important. It's inexplicable, which bothers me. But beyond that, he's a really cool set. If you like Chirrut and are into the buildable figures, you probably won't be disappointed by this set.
