I wasn't even aware that a second series of the Speed Champions was coming out until I came across them at the local TRU. As an owner of a Camaro, I was like a kid when I saw this set and had to buy it. The 69 Camaro is a near perfect representation of a powered up version from that era. I think the grill and headlight looks could have been achieved without decals but it's still good. The new one (a 6th generation Camaro) is a little heavy on decals but that's unavoidable with the new design lines but is also great. Not sure why the entire hood wasn't given the flat pieces but easily fixed. I'd love to get more versions of the Camaros. I might try to replicate the 69 version in a different color since this set is so solid.

For how cheap it is, and for what it gets you, I can't help but recommend it for those Lego car enthusiasts out there. Of course, if you're looking at this set for good minifigures or good parts, you might want to move right on. It's really down to taste at this point. Of course, the 1969 car is a load of crap, so you also can take that one into account.
This is another solid entry to the Speed Champions line, and fans of Chevy's boisterous muscle cars will enjoy seeing not one but two versions of the American classic in LEGO form. The extra bits in the set are simple, but well designed, and best of all they don't add anything to price, which at $29.99 remains the same as two of the standalone Speed Champions car sets.
In an interview for Top Gear, Craig Callum, the design manager for Speed Champions, mentioned that the cars are not just for kids. He gives an example of how they span the generations by including different generations of models in a set that will attract both kids and parents, such as the 75874 Chevrolet Camaro Drag Race and 75881 2016 Ford GT & 1966 Ford GT40. The same pattern is repeated in this year's lineup and I couldn't be more excited about the choice of models, colours and elements used.
