This is a nice helicopter Lego build set that plays into a Jurassic World scene my boys are already familiar with, thanks to the trailer. The large-scale Blue dino isn't in scale to its accompanying minifigs (in the movies Blue and all the Raptors are only slightly taller than the humans) but it's an impressive dino all the same, that also has standard minifig rounded hands/claws that can hold objects, if desired. The vehicle playlets are always among my sons' favorites, and this decent-size copter didn't disappoint. They especially liked the added touch of the mounted machine gun, an unusual Lego addition. There's also a second, small quad vehicle and other accessories that allow for some imaginative post-build play. Both my boys, 7 and 11, gave this set the thumbs up, calling it "very cool," even though the build itself went pretty fast for them.

Blue's Helicopter Pursuit has all kinds of great features and moving parts. Kids will love the helicopter's rotating blades, stud shooter and hook for carrying carriage.

I actually like it more than when it was first revealed. I thought it would be another boring helicopter set, but I actually like the helicopter build quite a lot. The minifigures are a little disappointing, though it's nice to get Blue. Playability is good as the helicopter has nice play features and you can transport Blue around in the cage with Owen in pursuit.

If you're considering this for your kiddo or have an interest in becoming a collector of the entire series, I would definitely go for it! Also, if you're looking for parts, this certainly has some good ones, but they aren't very rare, and you'll get a better bang for your buck when it goes on sale.

Some LEGO sets in dinosaur based themes suffer from being all about the moulded creature, rather than the set as a whole. Thankfully, this is not one of them – the build is enjoyable and leads to a nice finished model, with the helicopter, cage and quad all complementing each other as a complete display. Blue is excellent – the minifigures are nothing to shout about, but when everything else works so well, they don't need to be. For those only dabbling in the LEGO Jurassic World theme this year, this should be one of the sets you own.

Overall, it's a pretty good set that offers younger purchasers a lot of playability. The helicopter sports an attractive livery and is a decent size, so makes a pretty good display piece for the rest of us. The minifigures are great and so is Blue, whose markings are the best I've seen on a LEGO velociraptor. But, and it's a big 'but' if you're in Europe: the price is obscene! In the USA you can pick this for a cent under $40 but in the UK it'll set you back the equivalent of $71, and it's not much better in the Eurozone where it's the equivalent of $62.
