This is certainly one of the best sets out of the Toy Story line. The figs are awesome, and the set is very authentic and playable. It's hardly compatible with City due to its width though. Sure, it's terribly underscaled, but it would be hard to play with if it was any larger. This should not be missing in any Toy Story collection!
Wow! Bought it for my garbage truck obsessed 5-yr. old, and it did not disappoint! There's not a lot of "front loading" garbage truck toys out there that look like the real thing, so we were so lucky to have found it. My son was able to put it together himself with a little help from us with the super tiny pieces. The truck is fully functional and fairly sturdy, so long as you don't push it off the table. ;) His 2.5 yr. old sister is even able to play with it so long as she's "gentle." It rolls great on hardwood floors. You can load the dumpster onto the arms and lift it into the hopper. This was our first LEGO building toy, and it seems they make awesome products!
I like the dirt variations (or for me, an angry variation), and Twitch is pure awesomeness.
It's a limited edition. Only thing I can figure is that you get Twitch, and the normal cast of characters are DIRTY. Not with stickers, but actually part of the stamped design. It seems like Star Wars, the Toy Story line is expensive. 400 pieces and I paid $50, makes this one of the "cheaper" Toy Story 3 sets to get.
I really like the final model ... I especially like the mechanism which actually replicates the action of emptying the garbage container into the garbage truck. It works just like you'd imagine and adds great play value.
