My son received this for his 10th birthday and absolutely loves Lego products for older kids. He constructs these so fast but then is able to create his own designs and reassemble the pieces in totally different configurations. This product is great for kids that love to think-outside the box, hands-on type of personality, and for those with a vivid imagination! I would recommend for all those future engineers and architects :)

The set is a fair value. If you are a fan of the movie, or a fan of Superman, then you would probably appreciate the set. The set is not a standout in terms of the color design. The predominantly grey palette is a little dull. But my kids, as I suspect with most kids, don't care about design details. They've been playing with the set non-stop ever since we finished building it.

It actually looks like what was in the movie, and has characters that were (mostly) involved. At $50, this is firmly in the modern “mid-range" for LEGO, and it feels like a mid-range set. It would be a great set if it matched the $40 price-point of the Malibu Mansion Attack, but otherwise, it's above average.
