Batman: The Riddler Chase

Great set. Flash is a nice bonus, the Batmobile wasn't too much of a process to put together, and my 4 year old built the Riddler's car all by himself (with some help finding the pieces). He was pretty excited! more less

Unique minifigs, the premier of the Flash figure, and an interesting build on the batmobile with homage to the recently cancelled animated series makes this a must have for any DC fan. Leg printing on the minifigs and a bland vehicle for the Riddler is the only thing that held this back from getting 5 /5. more less

I really wanted to like this set, but the designs of the vehicles and minifigs were just too lackluster to rate it any higher than average. I'm glad we finally got the Flash and I'm sure that if TLG wouldn't have been so clever to throw him into the set, not many would have bought it. The Batmobile has a cool new design, but it's not the most iconic nor the most accurate Batmobile. And the dragster is just awful and makes no sense in the context of the set, although I guess if you don't mind the racing suit, this gives you a cheaper way to get the Riddler. more less

I really wanted to like this set. It had a lot going for it: great minifigs, cool Batmobile, a banana that is clearly a nod to the old comic, and a dragster that could have been just okay. But after building the set and spending some time with it, to be honest I felt a little cheated. Firstly, the minifigures are outstanding and are almost worth the price of entry alone. The Flash is a long time coming and delivers on all counts but Batman and Riddler are impressive on their own. The roadster is a bit of a blip, but I understand to make some concessions on a set which already has great minifigures and a hefty, combat-ready Batmobile. The Batmobile has a commanding look and design and is a vehicle I could see being displayed on my shelf. I'll quietly dismantle the roadster at the back, though just because of how plain it looks. My only critique of the Batmobile is that the cockpit is fastened on by studs as I'd have preferred it to swing open and close to make it look a lot cooler but thankfully, it doesn't make the vehicle any less appealing. more less

I really liked the feel and build of this set. The cars are neat and look great, and I'm overjoyed that LEGO gave Flash his own minifig in the set (just like Aquaman last year). The play features are nice, and of course just having some cool cars to roll across the floors is always a plus. It will look great on a display shelf, if so desired, or add to one's piece collection. And you can not beat that price! more less
