Recommendation: yes 5 / 5 by Allen "Tormentalous" Tran

At a sub-$20 price point, we get three exclusive minifigures that we probably won't find in another set for a long time. The printing on the minifigures are super top-notch and are very detailed. The brick-built LEGO bricks is a novel concept and looks really cool next to their normal counterparts. The ant part of the build was decent. It wasn't overwhelming as it wasn't the main draw of the set because that honor went to the minifigures.

Both sets are so nice and I can't find a reason not to have them in my collection. Miss them, you will surely regret as a Marvel Ant man fan!

I absolutely adore this flying ant, is size is fairly small for the price of the set. Since this is a singular set from a specific movie the production value of the pair of wings and the two new helmets greatly affected how much the designer could put into the set. I'm not complaining about the size of the ant, it's a perfect size and I wouldn't change the size or the model, even those minor quibbles because I won't be playing with it. I just feel it's slightly small for the price.

Recommendation: yes 4 / 5 by Nick Martin

this is a very solid set at $20, and the 195 parts don't feel wasted like some of the other low-price sets have felt. It's not perfect, since the playset features are probably the weakest part of the whole thing. [...] There is enough parts value, and it's somewhat hard to resist getting an army of giant ants. I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords.

This set and the minifigures can be used to reenact scenes from the movie. The minifigures of the movie's stars makes this an ideal set for adding to a larger Marvel collection or display.

At $20, a great set with 183 pieces, three minifigs, a giant flying ant, and BIG BRICKS! Great fig design which should appeal to fans of the SuperHeroes line, and Ant-Man fans in particular. Good playability -- fire away with loose screws and Super Jumpers!

Even if you're not a hardcore Marvel fan, the elements such as the fantastic printed torsos, headgear and giant LEGO bricks still make this a worthy purchase that can be reused for a variety of different sci-fi inspired scenes or designs.

I think it's a decent model considering the price, and does a good job at representing the characters from the movie. Antony has some design and posability issues, but overall he's very ant-like, and all the minifigures are recognizable too. Plus, the idea of using enlarged LEGO bricks to represent the change in scale was pulled off nicely.
