My son loves it. We had a good time together building it. The separate spaceships that come apart, is what my son likes best. A really fun kit!
The swooshability factor is top-notch whether it be apart or together. When attached the jet is very sturdy and there's no issue with them coming apart.
Although Space Captain America is basically just Captain America with a breathing tank, the Space Iron Man minifigure is Iron Man in a white suit with blue jet thrust pieces. Thanos has cool stud-shooting boots. The jet has stud shooters as well, and two cockpits. The top cockpit can detach from the ship to become a mini-jet. This completed set can be used to play out, or stage a space-themed battle between The Avengers and Thanos with Hyperion at his side.
I LOVE this set, mostly for the figures though. It does come with a pretty cool captain Marvel, which I think will appear in a small set for the Captain Marvel movie, just like the Ant man movie. I also like thanos, but he will probably come in another set for Avengers Infinity War, right? If lego comments, please promise me that AT LEAST one set would come out of those movies PLZ! Also, I am pretty sure that a lot of people want new Harry Potter Legos as wall. Just a little tip.
If this was a larger set, we could have had more substance to the wings or to the launchers. But for a $60 set, it's still a pretty solid build, surprisingly. The minifigure lineup is great as well, giving us three brand new characters and new variations of two others.

Whether or not you get this set depends entirely on how much you want the minifigs. Unlike the Quinjets or the Milano, the vehicle itself isn't cool enough to justify the purchase alone. But there's a Captain Marvel minifig, and for me, that was more than enough reason to get the set.
I'm sure a lot of people will buy this set just for the minifigures and Thanos, and they are indeed excellent and almost worth the price tag on their own, but I would also recommend it on the merits of the jet too; I found it a satisfying build, and an interesting overall model (with a few flaws as mentioned above). The set would also make a great parts pack for anyone wanting to MOC some kind of aircraft in red and white owing to the large number of wedge-shaped bricks and plates.
