There really isn't much they could have done to improve this set except maybe include Ned Leeds, Peter Parker's pal, hiding in a bush talking into his cell phone asking where Peter is.
This is a really great Marvel LEGO set. The truck is bigger than expected based on other sets, and Vulture's wings are really flexible so can be positioned lots of ways. I was surprised that Iron Man's head (inside the helmet) is a clear blue piece instead of the Tony Stark head. Unusual pieces include Shocker's gloves - the only other set I've seen those in were for Ms. Marvel in LEGO Super Heroes Captain America Jet Pursuit 76076 Building Kit (160 Pieces). Also Spiderman has the new powerblast pieces and the web pieces. The truck has a machine gun that shoots 6 stud pieces before reloading. This is a really cool set for Marvel fans, and is the main set from the Spiderman: Homecoming movie and is great for display or play with 4 main character minifigs.
This was a very great set! The Vulture wings look amazing. I saw the movie a while ago and both the Spiderman suit, the vulture's outfit, and the shocker are pretty accurate. It's also nice that the wings can stand without needing an actual stand. They can also be posed in a variety of ways. The van is nice and compact, but I decided not to put on all the stickers that showed damage, and it looks much better. Overall, a great set that's worth every penny!
This set is all about the cool figures that are included. There's a Power Blast Spider-Man that comes with a web accessory, and two power blasts to fire from his hands. The included Iron Man figure features his new Mark 47 armor. The two villains, the Vulture, and the Shocker, are exclusive to this set, and fans are sure to want to add them to their collections. The Vulture is the largest buildable figure we have seen with a wing span of 8-inches. The Shocker's car is also included, and features a rapid fire shooter, and stolen goods.
The designers of this Beware the Vulture have taken a delightful, expansive movie and distilled it down to a reasonably priced four minifigure set that captures all of the important themes and characters – no easy feat. The fruit of their labours is a set that will delight AFOLs, kids, minifigure fans, and folks who just want another great looking vehicle to place in their LEGO City. That is a disparate and often incompatible group of fans to satisfy, but 76083 does it. Be sure to pick this one up while you still can, value like this does not come along that often.
LEGO has went all out on the minifigures as there are four prominent characters in the movie depicted in this set. The builds themselves are nice despite the minor flaws with the van. I didn't really like the yellow that is shown between the hinges and on the back of the van where the hatch isn't flush and shows more of the yellow. I know the color has an affinity with the Shocker because of his suit in the comics but it does look a little off.
All in all, I don't hate the set but apart from the minifigures, there's really nothing here that will interest you. For casual fans and parents, this is a great set as you get all the Homecoming characters at a pricepoint that isn't too predatory unless you're in the UK.
Vulture's wings are quite poseable and look suitably menacing, the truck is pretty fun to drive around, and the fact that they stored such a large shooter in the back of the truck is quite impressive.
LEGO is often criticised for splitting the most desirable minifigures between several different sets but that is certainly not the case in this instance. Not only does 76083 Beware the Vulture include the primary hero and antagonist but also some popular supporting characters. The models are also very satisfying and offer considerable playability as well as some display value, despite a couple of minor issues.
