It's a must buy, you can't find minifigures this good any where else after the Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Carribean era.
I was very happy when this set released here in the states, new characters and improved character designs to add to my collection. The figures are awesome, I liked the added gladiatorial markings and gear with Hulk. Thor was a nice improvement especially with his helmet that is seen in the comics. Jeff Goldblum has his own minifigure now. Loki has a better color scheme. For the arena I liked the color scheme combined with glyph stickers. It's design to allow the sections to be connected in any order is nice touch given most sets don't have that added ability. Overall no complaints, highly recommend this set for your collection.
Kinda underwhelmed, mostly due to the crappy build. The build is just not good enough for a set at this price point, being too juniorized and lacking substance. The figures are good, but playability is just meh and the price isn't very good. Even though the other Thor: Ragnarok set comes with less parts (and costs the same in NZ), I would definitely recommend that one over this set.

There's a lot of potential to be had with role-playing the characters in this set and interacting with the arena model, so if you're buying this for a LEGO-crazed kid, I can bet that he or she will definitely appreciate this set for what it is. As an adult, it's a soft recommendation from me – only if you're a LEGO Marvel fan and try not to pay full price for this set as it's definitely not worth that much.
LEGO products are intended for play and in that capacity I think this is a very successful set. There are numerous functions included, all of which work perfectly, as well as an impressive selection of figures which can fight within the arena or beyond. Moreover, the many destructible features are bound to appeal to younger Marvel collectors, particularly given the presence of an enormous Hulk bigfig!
