Thor's Weapon Quest

Pros: The infinity war sets have all been pretty good so far as a rule. This set is likewise a fun build. It accurately depicts the movies scenes its based on and like the others includes one of the infinity stones. For a smaller set they chose not only good figures to include but movie accurate ones. I also really like the fact that this set combines with 76107 flawlessly. The pod has nice shooting blasters and is very swooshable. Cons: Stickers. The forge part of the set feels a bit phoned in...really should have just left it out and given us another figure or something. more less

While this set is small, and was a little confusing for me when taken out of the context of the film, ultimately it makes perfect sense. Thor, Rocket and Groot are a group of characters who share some of my favourite moments in the film, and it is great to see them all in this set. more less

Thor's Weapon Quest is a odd LEGO set, since without seeing the movie yet, it makes no sense, which is one of the odd things about releasing sets 2 months before the movie releases. I like the escape pod vehicle and the three minifigures are excellent, but the weapon accessory build didn't impress me. more less

I do think this set is not bad, but it's not excellent either – just somewhere in the middle. Unfortunately, it's overpriced in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand – the U.S. price is a bit more easy to stomach. A must get if you have 76107, though, as the Benatar (yes, that's the name of the ship in that set) in that set is a lot better with the pod connected. more less

There's quite a bit to like about this set, but the major takeaway was that it mostly met all my expectations in terms of what you'd expect from a set at this pricepoint. No nasty surprises, and you get pretty much what you pay for which is actually not too bad for a licensed set. Like all licensed sets, the minifigures are the main draw, and with Teenage Groot being one of the best versions of Groot yet, this set is undoubtedly going to sell quite well. The new and improved Thor minifigure is also fairly decent but I can't help but be disappointed that Rocket didn't get a single update. more less

Teenage Groot is definitely the highlight of the set from my point of view but the other minifigures are very appealing as well, despite the disappointing absence of Thor's eye patch. The design of the escape pod is unusual but I think it looks great and the limited space inside is used very efficiently, containing seats for all three figures. more less
