Miles Morales Mech Armor

All the new Marvel mech sets come at an excellent value. Consequently, each presents a cheap way to acquire some nice Minifigures. Of those Minifigures, Miles Morales is the most detailed, and has the most accessories. However, from an AFOL perspective, this mech is not very imaginative. It sticks to a tried formula when it could have employed a more unique, spider-themed design. Nonetheless, the set is a great purchase for all superhero fans. more less

This is pretty good mech. There are plenty of poses that can be done, and all the web pieces allow for customization with the minifigure. Speaking of the minifigure, this version of Miles Morales is great. He has dual-molded legs, and some stellar printing. The only issue is that the due to how skinny the legs are, it does change the weight distribution throughout the build, and does allow for less poses. At first, I was pretty skeptical about these sets. The minifigures were nice, but the mech suits were pretty lacking. They all looked pretty similar, and felt a bit on the cheap side. Then I remembered that these are coming in at a $10 USD price point – currently the same cost as two blind-bag collectible minifigures. The average price-per-part is just under 8 cents, which isn't terrible. And if you are willing to do some “alternate math" and remove the minifigures from the equation at $5 each, then the value per part comes in at a mere four cents per. And that super low ratio includes some very useful, rare, and new elements. more less

These little builds will allow your younger Marvel fans to have a bit of fun not just making the sets, but posing them. They're reasonably well balanced and with those big feet, they're able to get a good…footing…to be quite stable. more less

One of the best things about the set has to the Miles Morales Minifigure. The version included here is totally unique not appearing in other sets and also being a variant of the usual outfit Miles is seen wearing. more less

As anticipated, the exclusive Miles Morales minifigure is the highlight of 76171 Miles Morales Mech Armour. His unique Spider-Man suit looks marvellous and differs significantly from past depictions of the same character. The consistent design features between that minifigure and the mech are appealing too, particularly where their colour schemes are concerned. more less
