I got this set from Amazon and I used some money from an Amazon gift card. This setup is very fun (but it broke a few times). Even the characters are great! I also like the bridge part and the satellite uplink. One of my favorite parts is the falling icicles. This is a great setup, and I like the box too! Anyway, I have a big collection of Star Wars, and this is a cool set. Though I like all the characters, my favorite is Hans Solo. I rate this setup 5 stars, and it goes great with the Milleneum Falcon. It is a pretty big set, and it is very, very fun, and it is worth it! Too bad it doesn't include Obi Wan Kanobi and Darth Vader. I have a different Hoth Echo Base set though it is small, and this one is bigger than that one, and you can use them together. It took about 1 hour to build it. I really like this set.

It certainly feels like you get your money's worth in the set, there is plenty going on. As a playset, it's pretty good. Not quite as fragile and break-a-part as Endor Base was, and it certainly looks far more about the base than any of the other sets. But at the same time, it's not that flashy of a set. It's solid with a lot of features, but not as cool looking as others. You get a good variety of minifigs, with some new varieties, and plenty of things for them to do. But at the same time, the stickers are a bit overused (especially in the command area), but you can get around that.

If I don't factor in the cost, then this set is ok. A lot all the minifigs special. The R-3PO, medical driod, another Tauntaun and even Han Solo are all done in good taste. I can see it fitting well with the other ice sets.
