As always with LEGO, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. And the imaginative play that follows for any Turtle fan is a given with this colorful, feature-packed set.

This is really well designed LEGO vehicle. I previously bought the Shellraiser set for my son and while that one was cool, it was really fragile. The walls on the shellraiser were basically 1x2 or 1x3 connections from the base to the roof. This turtle sub is definitely designed to be much sturdier. The joint for the "neck" of the sub is well reinforced. The sides of the "shell" body uses pieces in a vertical position that gives it a rounded shape while still being sturdy. The only flaw I could find was in the front and rear hinged panels on the roof piece. Those weren't entirely secure, but I was able to fix it using a couple of flat L-shaped 1x3 pieces. Overall, I still love it
