For the first LEGO Monkie Kid set I've built, I'm really impressed. It's a fun build that looks great and has some limited but fun play functions. One of the issues I've noticed though, is that this set won't really work with LEGO City scaled displays. Yes, they're minifigures, but the sheer size of the van just blows it out of proportion. Mind you, if I saw a food truck this size rumbling down the road, I'd certainly go over and check it out!

I really like the aesthetics of it from the fold out panels to the huge rake in front of the truck. Although there are a lot of stickers, they do work very well with the truck as it gives it character. It's not usual for LEGO to have a ton of printed pieces for a set at this price range. The play features are hit and miss but I do like the secret area inside the truck with the computer and fridge.

Well, this was a fun build! There are lots of small details, giving it a lot of playability. There are some small issues, like why hide all the screens when you also have spikes and a shooting pig. But that is just details. The build in itself is fun. When you remove the Armageddon accessories, you end up with a good-looking 'normal' food truck, but as mentioned, it is a little too big to fit in a regular LEGO city.

For the build itself, there is not a lot to tell: it is all fairly standard stuff. Some nice fold-out panels and hidden flippy things are included. If you are a seasoned AFOL I don't think you will be surprised by any build techniques but it is fun enough and has some nice details. The best is the use of the 2x2 turntable with the underside showing, to represent a fan.
