That a good solid score, maybe even a little generous. I can't stress enough that the model's great, but since it's inherently small, I wish LEGO would've scrapped what they didn't need and sold it for less.
It's a nice sized set and the price feels reasonable considering the lineup of minifigures though they missed an opportunity to toss in the Dewback again (you can never have too many Dewbacks), and it's the top of the line for official Landspeeder designs. I'd say if you had to buy one Landspeeder set, this is the one to get.
I bought this for my son who loves both star wars and legos. Although this did not come in a box, the item came with instructions and it was 100% complete. My son enjoyed building it and adding to his collection. Overall the seller and item are great! Thanks!
A superb starter set for those new to the Star Wars Lego phenomenon, and a good set for those who aren't. The minifigures are the highlight, but we mustn't discount the very solid design of the landspeeder too.
If you got this for the minifigs, and most likely you did, these are indeed the droids you are looking for. I can't deny that it's deserving of the popularity it has attained due to that attribute. However, should you already own most or all of the minifigs, then this set loses a lot of its value.
This set probably isn't going to set the world alight, but it's nice to have a good selection of figures in a reasonably priced set. Most people who get this are probably after Luke, and possibly the Sandtrooper. The speeder is nice, a bit simple; it's not a patch on some of the MOCs out there [...], and to be honest I prefer the look of the sandred one from 4501, which I don't own.
I like the ship itself. There color scheme on it makes it look like it's been in the desert. I also like how LEGO included C-3PO and R2-D2 in the set. The minifigs makes the set work very well.
All in all, if you've missed out on the previous release, this is a worthwhile set to get. Since it does come with a trooper, and a sentry droid to boot.
