This is a great set. Look beyond the odd colours: this is one of those models you'll keep picking off the shelf and swooshing around whilst no-one's looking.

Recommendation: meh 4.3 / 5 from 51 reviews

In the last year or so, my somewhat precocious 6 year-old daughter has become enthusiastic about both Star Wars and Lego toys, which suits me just fine! This set is just about the right level of complexity for a first grader and an adult to build together. We spent a couple of evenings working on it, and the finished product is actually one of the most durable Lego sets I have come across. There are only a couple of stickers (The bane of Lego Star Wars sets!), and most of the model's structural strength comes from stacked plates, which makes for a very sturdy ship. The minifigs are also different than what you find in other sets. Both my daughter and I had a great time building it, and continue to have a great time playing with it! The price is fine at $59.99, but I've seen it drop quite a bit now and again. If you can snag it at a bargain price, you won't be sorry!
