How awesome is this set? Pretty awesome. You get a planet, for goodness sake! The Ewoks' forested planet of Endor is here along with an AT-ST walker and a scowling soldier (with a little stand for the latter two). I give gifts to a hardened Lego fan and collector, and this still delighted -- because you get a planet!
This is a half-decent set: The AT-ST is OK, but if you have the polybag version you could convert it to be the same as this one easily enough with a few extra click-hinge plates if you wanted to. The minifig is OK too, but not spectacular but at least it has new a torso and head.
At a RRP of £9.99 it's ridiculously priced, but at 50% off it's not bad at all. For that you get a nice minifigure, and a selection of small parts that would be useful for anyone wanting to SW MOC.
Even as its supposed to represent a miniaturized version of the AT-ST, I felt that it was pretty underwhelming for a Planet Set. I felt that while Lego did a pretty decent job of making the AT-ST fun-sized, they missed out on making the cockpit look a little larger, possibly to cater to the size of the printed flap. The updated pilot was nice, but as an overall planet set, it's mediocre at best.
