There are lots of nice, generic blocks in this set with a few fun unique peices like the goat and the pile of apples. I had to hide the pitchfork, because it's just pointy enough that my 20 month old poked her hand too hard and had some tiny bruises. We'll bring it back out in a few months to try again. Otherwise, it's totally age appropriate and a fun activity for different ages to do together. My toddler, her grandma, and her hard-to-please 7 year old cousin were all playing together.
