Recommendation: meh 4.2 / 5 from 12 reviews

Recently got this for a birthday. Oh man, this is what I was looking for. I myself got set 10702 and two 10696, which I was a bit disappointed with because out of 1,000 pieces, the average size was like a 1x3, maybe 1x2 brick, mostly small ones, not enough of the 2x4 bricks to really build with the imagination. But this set has plenty of 2x4's, of multi-color, 2x6, 2x8, 1x6, 1x8, wheels, eyes, "rooftop" pieces, hinges, so a kid can really let their imagination go... as I got a chance to play with the kiddo (as a Lego expert myself). Maybe this Christmas, I'll get one from my son. If I got this first, I wouldn't have gotten the other sets. If you want to start building a Lego set, start with this one. And gotta shout out props to Belandaria, where I got it from. Let's say there were issues. After I contacted them, the were like Amazon... no, even better than Amazon to resolve the issue, and left me a very happy customer.
