Recommendation: no 4 / 5 from 332 reviews

My son is 4 and a half years old. He's past Duplo, but still has a hard time with some of the 5/6 and up sets (which are a huge number of Lego sets). LEGO Juniors? PERFECT. He can build the entire set, by himself, following the instructions. And the rebuild whatever he wants from the pieces. This set was great (as was the Batman one) since he loves super heroes. And the car base gives him a lot of things he can build with other LEGO pieces he has around. We liked this so much, we've bought LEGO Juniors sets for almost every birthday party he's been invited to since. These are perfect for 4-5 year old kids.

Recommendation: no 4 / 5

This is an ideal building set for Spider-Man and construction fans who might have outgrown LEGO Duplo sets and are ready to use the standard-sized LEGO bricks, but who may not be ready for the more complicated LEGO builds designed for older kids. Young Spider-Man fans will enjoy building and playing with this set.

This is set is a pretty smart move by LEGO. Bridging the gap to more adult sets and introducing popular Marvel & DC characters to get them hooked on the Super Heroes set is pretty much a master stroke on LEGO's part. This set will undoubtedly be extremely popular with parents due to the low price point and Marvel branding. This set packs a whole lot of value into $15 with the 2 minifigs, printed elements as well as miscellaneous bricks and parts. It also makes a great gift especially if you have younger nieces/nephews/cousins that are into LEGO.
