this was our first Lego set for my almost 4 year old. She "helped" me build it. Love the character theming. The wheels move, windows open and shut, etc. 1 detailed that baffled me, they gave her a hairbrush instead of a dinglehopper (fork). ;) Comes with Ariel, Flounder, and dolphin. Easy for her to play with and with minimal pieces, I don't feel devastated when she takes it apart to make her own creations.

My friend was looking to get her 4 year old started with LEGOs when I found this set on Amazon. Not only is it Little Mermaid themed (my favorite as a kid) but it's also the Juniors line... perfect!!! Just know your 4 year old little pumpkin might get a bit frustrated with trying to put some of the little pieces where the instructions show. Speaking of, my only recommmendation is for the instructions to be printed larger, with only one step per page (sometimes the little one was confused). Outside of that, it's great!

Once construction is complete, kids will have tons of fun using their imagination and coming up with fun underwater mermaid adventures. You can switch up things by changing the snap-ins in various places.
